Daniella & Silvio’s wedding at Dodford Manor Northampton

Jan 28, 2024 | Uncategorized

Daniella & Silvio chose to hold their wedding day at the lovely barns of Dodford Manor in Northampton. The wedding venue hosted their wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party meaning there was no need for lots of driving between venues. Making the day flow nicely for everyone who attended.

Daniella decided to start her day getting ready at the nearby Staverton Park Hotel, with her bridesmaids in attendance. I’m usually worried when I knock on a hotel door that I may have the wrong room and be waking some poor person from a lovely layin. There was no uncertainty when I came down the hallway I could hear the music blasting and the sounds of singing and laughter, I definitely had the right room. Daniella is lucky to have some super talented friends who were able to do her hair and make up for her, when I arrived everyone was busy getting themselves ready. I was straight into capturing details such as shoes, wedding dress, and jewelry while also capturing what was happening as everyone chatted, got ready, and created tiktoks.

Silvio decided to start his morning preparations at Dodford Manor it’s self, which is where Grant met him and his groomsmen, as they finished getting ready and making final preparations for the day ahead. The guys were in good spirits and on hand to welcome wedding guests as they arrived for the ceremony in the barn.

Daniella chose a beautiful lace and tulle dress with a long train, which fitted and suited her perfectly. Her look was finished with a stunning bouquet from Lily Rose Floral Design Once she was dressed and ready we cleared the room to allow her to share a first look with her dad, who was so emotional when he saw her. We then had a little bit of time for some bridal portraits and group photos before I headed off to Dodford Manor to make sure I was there ahead of our lovely bride’s arrival.

The two barns that make up Dodford Manor need little doing to them to make them look stunning for the day. Daniella & Silvio chose to keep things simple with a white and green theme decorating both the wedding ceremony and the reception wedding breakfast room. One of the really nice things about getting married at Dodford Manor is they allow you to throw confetti inside the barn at the end of the ceremony as the couple walk down the aisle together, it’s a really nice way to end the wedding ceremony and always creates some lovely photos for everyone. There is also a balcony that overlooks the ceremony room, so once the chairs have been cleared it’s a great way to do the everyone group photo and see everyone’s faces.

As the weather was now threatening rain we popped outside to quickly take some smaller group photos and then took our couple away for some time alone to catch up with each other to capture some outdoor couple’s photos in case this was our only rain free chance to do this. We do always try to take you away from your guests even for 10 minutes so you can catch up with each other and have a few moments alone on what can be a very hectic day. We then left our lovely couple alone and divided our time between capturing photos of wedding guests and the reception room set up.

As the wedding guests began to filter in for the wedding breakfast we took Daniella and Silvio for 10 minutes of photos in another part of the venue while they waited to be called in for their grand entrance. Once most of the guests were seated the wedding party was announced into the room, each taking a moment to have a shot before sitting down, including our lovely bride and groom. This was followed by speeches and food. Whilst everyone enjoyed their food we quickly worked putting together a same day slideshow for our bride and groom to look through and have a little preview of their wedding photos.

After the meal, the room was quickly re-set while everyone mingled, ready for the evening party. Our couple kicked off the celebrations with their first dance and then surprised everyone by joining the band as Danillea played the drums and Silvio the guitar for a few songs. Before joining the dancing themselves. After capturing plenty of dancing photos we said goodbye and headed off to back up our images and head home.
